5 DIY Masks To Deal With Dry Hair

Thankfully, you can make your own masks with components you probably already have on hand while you're in between masks.

Try these simple hair masks that are quick to make and can do wonders for your hair.

- Banana & Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a natural beauty powerhouse that softens and tames thick, dry hair the best.

Because of its fatty acids, it absorbs quickly into the hair, includes vitamin E to encourage hair development as well as a UV screen to prevent sun damage, and its moisturising properties keep hair from drying out.

If you've been suffering from dry, brittle hair, combining overripe bananas with coconut oil will help.

It also has anti-inflammatory effects that help soothe inflammation and supports cell regeneration for a healthier scalp.

When paired with milk, which is high in proteins, amino acids, vitamin B12, iron, and zinc, the pair can soften and support the hair's structure.

Because milk has a thin, liquid-like viscosity, mixing one cup of milk with one spoonful of honey in a spray bottle and misting it on the hair is a good idea.

After shampooing, leave in for 10 to 20 minutes (in place of conditioner). Rinse with warm water for a lustrous, smooth finish.

- Egg & Lemon 

Eggs are high in proteins, vitamins A, D, and E, as well as fatty acids that help your hair shine. Lemon's acidic nature dissolves excess oil and grease in the scalp, making this hair mask ideal for oily-skinned women.

Because both components are readily available, you may easily prepare this hair mask at home. It not only works as a hair mask for dry hair, but it also cleans and add shines to your hair.

Separate the yolk and use the egg white for your mask. Add half a lemon into the egg white to make a smooth consistency and combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Cover your hair with a shower cap and tie it up. Allow 30 to 45 minutes for the mask to dry before rinsing with shampoo and conditioner.

- Yogurt & Olive Oil

Frizz can be dealt with yoghurt. Yogurt's lactic acid moisturises the hair, which helps to prevent frizziness and moisturising damage.

When you rinse out the yoghurt, it helps to remove dead skin cells that might build up on your hair follicles.

Depending on the intended outcome, yoghurt can be combined with a variety of other substances. To give the strands lustre and smoothness, blend one cup of yoghurt with a tablespoon of olive oil.

Apply the mixture to the hair and leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it out with warm water.

- Aloe vera, Honey & Banana

Try this super-hydrating hair mask if your hair is dehydrated. Aloe vera is a fantastic conditioner for taming frizz and making hair seem smooth and lustrous.

Bananas, which are high in magnesium and pantothenic acid, are known for making your hair strong, luminous, and soft. Honey's humectant properties can also be found in the mask.

In a blender, combine a ripe banana with a splash of honey and two tablespoons of aloe gel until smooth.

It will be more difficult to wash off if it is chunkier. Before rinsing, apply this combination to the roots and lengths for 30 minutes.
